Through the declaration of recommendation, form review, expert review, on-site inspection, the collective research of Hunan Provincial Department of Science and Technology, public announcement of project establishment and other procedures, the Provincial Key Laboratory for Dark Tea Golden Flower of the Chemical and Environmental Engineering College in our University has gained approval.
In 2016, there are 29 new provincial key laboratory projects in Hunan, of which only 5 projects are granted to the second-tier universities. Besides our university, Hengyang Normal University, Hunan Institute of Science and Technology, Shaoyang University and Hunan University of Humanities, Science and Technology also have been approved of establishing one provincial key laboratory.
The Approval of the Provincial Key Laboratory for Dark Tea Golden Flower has fulfilled the zero breakthrough in provincial key laboratories in our university as well as in Yiyang City. It is not only the result of our university’s high value and active cooperation, but also a foregone conclusion of the Dark Tea R&D Team’s hard working and major achievements. It marks that our university’s discipline platform construction is embarking on a new level.
Leading by Professor Liu Shiquan, the research team of the Provincial Key Laboratory for Dark Tea Golden Flower will focus on developing Hunan Dark Tea, form dark tea fermentation microorganism germ plasma resources with distinctive features, study the theory and technology of dark tea fine fermentation control and the active functional components, build the frontier technology platform of Hunan dark tea eco-development and push the research achievements forward to domestic leading level.
