In the afternoon of June 4th local time, HNCU President Li Jianqi and other 6 members of the delegation arrived at Accra, the capital of Ghana, visiting the ambassador of China’s embassy in Ghana, Sun Baohong.
Li Jianqi thanked ambassador Sun Baohong for her concern and assistance to Hunan City University. He also briefed the ambassador on the official launch of the Confucius Institute of Cape Coast University and the future development planning of Confucius Institute, expressing the hope that the ambassador will continue to strongly support Confucius Institute in information communication and coordination of all works.
Ambassador Sun Baohong highly appraised the positive image of the Confucius Institute established by Hunan City University and Cape Coast University in Ghana.
She pointed out that the close relations between China and Ghana, the deepening of cooperation and the higher education cooperation between China and Canada have ushered in unprecedented historical opportunities. At the time when the Hunan City University has built the characteristic Confucius Institute with the University of Cape Coast, it is bound to make important contributions to the consolidation of bilateral relations. The Chinese Embassy in Cape Coast will give full support to the work of Confucius Institute of the University of Cape Coast. Sun Baohong also made specific suggestions and proposals for the next step in Ghana’s international education cooperation. (Jun Feng)
