On 16th, June, accompanied by Xu Yunbo, deputy chairman of Yiyang Municipal People’s Congress, and Zhang Jinlong, deputy director of Yiyang Municipal Tourism Administration, Etzk Bryfurman, mayor of Petah Tiqwa of Israel, with his wife Bryfurman Dafna and Yecikl, spokesman of Petah Tiqwa municipal government, visited Hunan City University (HCU) for discussing education cooperation and was hospitably received by Luo Chengyi, CPC secretary of HCU, Tang Fanghua, deputy CPC secretary of HCU, Yao Chunmei, CPC discipline secretary of HCU, and Liu Huihang, deputy president of HCU. Then the Chinese and Israeli sides had a meeting at the conference room on the 1st floor of HCU Office Building, which was hosted by Mr. Tang Fanghua.

On the behalf of HCU staff, Mr. Luo Chengyi extended a warm welcome to the Israeli delegation led by Mr. Bryfurman and introduced basic information of HCU to the guests, saying, “Petah Tiqwa and Yiyang have become each other’s sister city for many years, and Mr. Mayor has been to our university before. I believe our friendship will be further consolidated by your arrival. China is now implementing “the Belt and Road” Initiative, according to which our university will more actively participate in Sino-Israeli exchanges. I hope Mr. Mayor’s visit will broaden our cooperation and make more achievements.”

Etzk Bryfurman said, “Petah Tiqwa is Yiyang’s international friend, and I hope the cooperation between the two cities will be more pragmatic and convenient. Petah Tiqwa has an advanced medical system and is famous in Israel, Middle East and even the whole world for its medical services. We are looking forward to the two higher education institutes’ delegates paying a visit to our city soon and seek our future cooperation orientation.”

After that, Mr. Luo presented a souvenir to Mr. Bryfurman on the behalf of HCU.
