On April 2, the symposium of the exchange students from Hunan City University to Malaysia City University was held inRoom 133 of the Architecture and Planning Building.Deputy Party Secretary Tang Fanghua,Vice-principal Liu Huihuang, director of Publicity and Security, the crew of International Cooperation and Exchange and 11 exchange students to Malaysia attended the forum.
The symposium was hosted byYu Li'an, Deputy Director of International Cooperation and Exchange . The Director Zhou Weiping introduced the project of Exchange to Malaysia City University
In the end of 2017, our school signed a friendly cooperation agreement with Malaysia City University, and officially launched the Malaysia City University exchange program. At present, 11 students will depart for Malaysia for four-month study on April 9th, with free tuition during the study period.
Li Bin, Minister of Propaganda, and Xue Tiejun,director of Security Department, explained the issues exchange students need to pay attention in detail from ideology to safety education.
The representatives of exchange students showed gratitude to the school for providing them with this precious opportunity to go abroad for study. Meanwhile, they expressed that they would hold firm beliefs, overcome all difficulities, work hard to learn linguistic and professional knowledge and live up to the expectations of the leaders and teachers.
Liu Huihuang put forward three requirements to all exchange students: First, to be aware of the purpose of studying abroad and improve English as soon as possible. Second, to study local university education and act as cultural ambassadors between the two schools. The third is to increase the spontaneity, autonomy and self-consciousness of learning,accelerate the transformation of learning and lifestyle and achieve success.
Tang Fanghua emphasized that the exchange students should set upFour Consciousnesses, confirm Four Confidence, study and practice Core Socialist Values and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a new era, and spread excellent Chinese culture, He hoped that all the studentd could succeed in a special field of study and then apply what they have learnd.
